The Eagle has Landed: Our new coach has arrived

It’s one small step for FGH Security, one giant leap for festival logistics.   Today we welcome our new team coach.

For the coach conscious among you she’s a Van Hool, Tri-Axel, Euro 6 compliant 53 seater.  For those who don’t know what any of that means, she’s got leather seats, AirCon and no fewer than 3 DVD players.  The seats also recline to facilitate that comfortable, post-event motorway nap.

Despite the massive eagle currently plastered on the side, she is due to be reskinned in corporate colours.  Look out for ‘Keeping People Safe’ on any motorway journeys this summer.  Suggestions for a name for the coach are being sought on social media. ‘Coachy McCoachface’ will not be considered.

The coach will transport our team from hub locations in Manchester, Birmingham and London to large events nationwide.  Owning our own coach will make us more self-sufficient and give us additional flexibility.  It will also facilitate more work opportunities for team members outside their usual area.  This means our teams can mix more freely, share best practice and develop their skills in new environments.

Peter Harrison, Managing Director, didn’t say anything at first because he was too busy riding the coach around the block.  When pressed for a quote he said: “This coach is perfect for ensuring our professional teams can get to and from large deployments well rested.  This is another example of living the company values.  In this case I want to ‘look after our team’ by making sure they ride to, and from, their shift in the lap of luxury”
