7. Be the benchmark for others & set new norms of behaviour
We are pleased to announce that we are officially the best security company in the UK to work for, according to the Best Companies List 2017. The Best Companies list forms the basis of the internationally recognised Times Top 100 List which has been published today. These rankings are widely acknowledged as the most extensive research into employee engagement in the UK. This is a massive step forward for FGH Security and the UK security industry. It shows how the company is recognised on an international stage with the likes of Toyota, EE, Mc Donald’s and TSB. Each company on the list is awarded a score based on anonymous employee surveys, which look at everything from company culture through to management, CSR and performance. FGH Security has been awarded a one star award, with a score of 691, in the SME category.
Peter Harrison, Managing Director commented “We are obviously very happy to be recognised. We know the security industry has a reputation of providing really poor basic staff welfare, never mind ever becoming a great place people want to work. Here at FGH it is not about proving we are the best security company to work for – we already know that, the list is about benchmarking ourselves against other top employers and hopefully driving standards and changing perceptions of the security industry. It would be really nice to see some more security companies taking HR and staff wellbeing seriously. For any of our competition reading this – we dare you to enter in 2018!”.
To celebrate this great achievement we will also be taking part in Best Companies Day on the 3rd March. Best Companies Day is a national celebration where every company who has made it onto the Best Companies List is encouraged to hold a party, event or activity so all of the staff can come together to congratulate each other and celebrate their success. The company shall be pitting the Management and office teams against the Front Line team paintballing for the day!
