FGH Security Receives a Special Recognition Award at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland
We are delighted to share the Special Recognition Award that we received from IMG for our winter deployment at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland.
This award recognises our joint work with event partners to provide a safe and secure environment for visitors. Each day was unique and brought with it all the variations of a large scale gathering in the heart of London.
This is the third year of our security partnership with Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, and this year we welcomed more than 2.5 million visitors. Our security team consisted of Security Managers, Supervisors, and Officers, inclusive of Behavioural Detection trained Supervisors, a Security Search Team, and Canine Unit. In the 45 event days that ran from November 17 to January 1st, we deployed up to 170 security team members each day, totalling 90,000 working hours.
Mark McQuade, Senior Operations Manager, commented on his time working at the event:
“It’s been a remarkable journey over the past three years at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, witnessing not just the event’s growth, but the tremendous development of our team. From the onset, we’ve seen a significant enhancement in both the quality and skill of our team members. This is exemplified by our managers, who originally started as Door Supervisors in year one. Their dedication and hard work have been nothing short of inspiring. This is a testament to the quality of talent we have, particularly those who joined us from the London area.
One of the most gratifying aspects has been observing the joy and excitement it brings to millions of visitors. Seeing families, couples, and groups of friends come together to revel in the winter experience is truly heart warming. Our commitment to providing an unforgettable experience and safe and secure environment plays a role in this. It’s a pleasure to be part of a team that not only excels in its delivery but also contributes to creating cherished memories for so many.”
