We are pleased to announce that Account Manager, Nitu Kashap has been named a finalist as ‘Security Manager of the Year’ for The Security and Fire Excellence Awards 2024 .
What makes an excellent Security Manager?
Nitu Kashap says authentic leadership is key to people management.
From her background in aviation and working her way up from front-line Security Officer to Security Manager, Nitu knows the challenges and frustrations faced by security teams on a regular basis. Over the past 2 years, Nitu has built an outstanding rapport with front-line officers within her team, enabling her to drive cultural change. Her leadership skills made her the ideal candidate to manage our contract with New West End Company, where we provide Security Patrol teams.
She fully embodies our organisational values, especially Look After Our Team. Her team is extremely vocal about this, describing her as a “great manager because of her ability to inspire and empower the team”, alongside her “caring and compassionate” nature. Nitu has continued to shift her team’s mindset on what it means to be part of FGH security, providing incredible support through coaching, learning and development opportunities, and by building clear communication channels. She was integral in the implementation of new and improved technology within her team, allowing them to excel in their duties. She is also encourages her team to proactively engage in ongoing training initiatives the she oversees.
Training starts at the top, and Nitu is committed to continuous professional development. This year she has obtained qualifications in Level 4 Physical Penetration Testing Operations and Level 5 Corporate Risk Management.
