City Security Council have expanded into the North, forming the Manchester City Security Council. They have appointed Peter Harrison, FGH Security Founder and Managing Director, as Chair for the Leadership Team.
Peter’s strong affinity for Manchester, qualifications and 20 year’s of experience in the security industry makes him the perfect fit for this position.
Peter, commented on his new appointment:
“I am looking forward to playing a key role in developing Manchester’s’ City Security Council. Manchester has some exceptional security companies led by great leaders eager to engage and contribute to the council’s development.
The city already has some great initiatives, and the City Security Council’s aim will be to make these even stronger through collaboration. We want to ensure our senior colleagues at GMP and within MCC know that there is a highly trained and professional resource available, who should be included in any resilience plans for the city.
Manchester’s’ front line security personnel have been keeping millions of people safe every single day. They work hard around the clock. Part of our responsibility will be public awareness campaigns. We need to ensure that professional security personnel get the recognition that they deserve for the valuable contribution they make.
There are a variety of positions to fill on the council’s Leadership Team. I am keen to recruit a diverse range of individuals. I encourage anyone interested to reach out.”
Graham Bassett, the City Security Council Chair of the Board of Directors, has expressed his excitement regarding this new appointment. Graham highlighted that Peter’s enthusiastic approach and vision for further enhancing security in Manchester resonates well with the board. Current members are eager to support and collaborate with Peter to contribute to making Manchester a safer place.
