We are excited to announce that Tom Marsh has been named a finalist in the ‘Outstanding Young Security Professional’ category at the 2025 Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs).
Tom started at FGH Security in 2017 as a steward while he was studying at Lancaster University. Through FGH Training, he went on to obtain his Door Supervision Licence and went on to work at venues across Lancaster, including The Sugarhouse gaining valuable experience in the night time economy before moving into our events and festivals team.
After graduating, Tom moved into leadership positions at some of the UK’s largest events and began working as an Operator in our National Control Centre, an important role that supports our frontline teams. His dedication and performance in these roles led to his promotion to our Operational Management Team.
Reflecting on his experience at FGH Security, Tom said:
“FGH has allowed me to develop my skill set and to keep pursuing a career in the security industry. I joined the industry as a Door Supervisor, and the opportunities I’ve had whilst at FGH have been incredible. I’ve experienced multiple different sectors within the industry, including NTE, events, and security guarding. This has allowed me to work all over the UK and overseas. I have been a part of a wide variety of events, from MDL Beast in Saudi Arabia to retail deployments in Newcastle. This has given me all the tools and experience that I needed to progress into more senior positions.”
Tom Marsh fully embodies our values of Keeping People Safe, particularly in his role managing the National Control Centre, where he supports the welfare of our frontline teams and ensures the highest standards of procedures and best practices. His collaborative approach with customers and his commitment to continuous improvement align perfectly with our mission of Be Great Today, Better Tomorrow.
Congratulations, Tom!
