We are committed to philanthropy and raise, pledge and donate at least £10,000 to good causes every year
The 27th annual Lancaster Round Table Beerfest took place from the 3rd March to the 5th March at Lancaster Town Hall. The beer festival is a charitable event that raises money for a wide range of local good causes. This year the festival raised approximately £17,500. We commend this effort and are pleased to continue to support this very worthy enterprise. More information about where money is being spent can be found here.
FGH Security has been a headline sponsor of the event since 2011. Our contribution is the provision of free security services for the event, saving them £2,000 pounds each year against the usual cost of our services.
This year we ran a competition among our staff for two places on the judging panel for the best beers in the festival. The competition was one by an entry from two of our Manchester based Door Supervisors praising their general love of beer and anything to do with beer alongside a promise to acquit themselves in a manner of which the organisation would be proud.
Shann Cahill and John Parker were invited for an all-expenses paid overnight trip to Lancaster in return for their expertise and sage council. Speaking directly after the beer tasting John Parker labelled the experience as “great fun” and “highly informative”. He then suggested that it might be time to go back to the hotel and lie down. This was at 3pm.
The Beerfest has become a key part of the FGH social calendar with management, customers and long serving staff members all coming together to enjoy a quick tipple in the convivial environment of the event.
