Overview:
Movember raises both awareness and funds for a range of causes that effect men’s health:
- Prostate Cancer
- Testicular Cancer
- Mental Health and Suicide Prevention
Some facts:
- Prostate cancer kills 35 men every hour.
- Testicular cancer strikes early. It’s the most common cancer in men under 40.
- Every minute a man dies from suicide.
Movember and FGH Security:
We have 270 men in the permanent team at FGH Security. Sadly, the above issues effect people on our team each and every year. Sometimes this is directly, and sometimes their loved ones and friends become victims.
If we work together we can help in making a change by both raising awareness and raising funds.
We have had some real success over the previous five years.

FGH Contribution:
We will match the total Security Mo Team’s funding as soon as we reach the £1000 mark. This amount will be shared between all team members registered on the site, adding to the total raised!
Can Females Still Participate:
Yes! See the Movember website for details of becoming a “Mo Sista”. We expect to see some ingenious use of permanent markers, eyeliner or felt tips! And yes, the ladies are still eligible for prizes!
