The 2021 Security and Fire Excellence Awards took place on November 23. It was one for the history books for team members here at FGH Security. The London Hilton on Park Lane was “our Wembley” on the night. England legend of ’66, Sir Geoff Hurst made a special guest appearance to honour us. Certainly, as the first (and only) male ever to score a football World Cup final hat-trick, Sir Geoff was a fitting presenter as we claimed the inaugural Champion of Champions Award.
Our MD, Peter Harrison, declared: “a massive thank you to every single member of our team for your hard work. I hope you are all as proud as I am.” This is FGH’s ninth Security and Fire Excellence Award, an unbeaten record. Only previous award winners were eligible to enter the Champion of Champions category, so a victory over such illustrious competition fills us with pride.
2021 has been another big year for FGH Security. We developed our retail sector provision and our national footprint has expanded. New offices opened in Birmingham and London. Above all, these serve our large security deployments with the New West End Company, Adidas LDN, Hyde Park Winter Wonderland and Wembley Stadium.
We’ve strengthened our offering of SIA door-supervision training courses. This includes launching our program of SIA top-up training. London top-up training dates for 2022 are going live this week. Earlier in the year, we also completed our hat-trick of victories in the Outstanding Event Security Team category at the OSPAs (Outstanding Security Performance Awards).
Our #SheSetTheStandard campaign launched this week. Only 10% of our industry is currently female. Therefore, this campaign will promote female representation in the security industry. FGH Security also continues to set the standard when it comes to #KeepingPeopleSafe.
