We have been announced as a finalist in the prestigious Festival Supplier Awards 2024.

For the sixth consecutive year, we have been shortlisted in the Best Crowd Management/Security category. We were named Best Crowd Management/Security in 2020, 2019, and 2018.

The Festival Supplier Awards are now in their ninth year, developed to recognise, reward, and promote best practices in the outdoor event and festival sector.

Looking back over the past year, we are proud to have continued our leadership development with an MSc in Crowded Places and Public Safety Management for Mark McQuade. Additionally, we had a cohort of 10 Level 5 Crowd Management passes.

Safeguarding and Welfare were high on our agenda. We provided our management with Level 3 Safeguarding qualifications and enhanced procedures for dealing with vulnerable people.

Both Glassdoor and The Sunday Times named us one of the “Best Places to Work” in the UK.

This helps keep people safe by building expertise, retaining talent, and offering real development and sustainable career opportunities. All of which leads to a better service for our customers and a safer festival environment.

Michelle Tayton, event director of the Festival Supplier Awards, comments:

“We’ve been blown away by both the standard and volume of entries for the Festival Supplier Awards 2024. The entries really do demonstrate the creativity, capability, and capacity that exist within the outdoor event industry. By making the shortlist, FGH Security has been recognised for its hard work and ability to deliver.”

Focusing on delivery, customer service, and sustainable initiatives, the awards are judged by an esteemed panel of high-profile industry experts. These include Harry Guthrie, HG Event Production; John Adkins, JA Productions; Catherine Bishop, The Game Fair; Paul Dunstan, Ryder Cup; Saoirse Holland, Raver Tots; Kim Bickell, CSG Events; Frankie Tee, EnTEEtainment; Ben Hardy, REM Events; Jess Noakes, LS Events; Mark Currie, Royal Highland Show; Susan Gibson, Culture Liverpool; Ben Craddock, London Marathon Events; Neil Levene, CarFest; John Rostron, Association of Independent Festivals; and Liz Thompson, IMG.

We are looking forward to the award ceremony and gala dinner on Thursday 25th January 2024.
