Our Christmas Event Security teams had a busy, and festive, December. The largest of our Christmas deployments was Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, Europe’s largest Christmas event. This was our first year delivering security to this event and we enjoyed it immensely. The success of our deployment was due to our commitment to our brand promises of the friendliest and best trained team out there.
We delivered 82,249 hours of Christmas event security provision over 47 days. The event received more than 2 million visitors between 19th November and 4th January. Our team braved both Covid-19 and the ever pleasant British weather with smiles all round as we worked to provide a safe and entertaining experience to all 2 million people. We would like to thank each and every one of them for their hard work.
To deliver our Christmas Event Security series, we recruited and trained over 300 new managers, supervisors and door supervisors, providing a high level of security awareness and delivery, as well as industry-leading customer service.
Mark McQuade, our Operational Risk Manager, led the event alongside Events Operations Manager Amy Stanley. Speaking about the event, Mark said:
