We have just won the Best Event Security Team category at the Fire and Security Excellence Awards. The awards are the fire and security industry’s version of the Oscars and we had already performed well by having the highest number of nominations compared to any other company in the country, beating both large national and international organisations. This is the fourth Security Excellence Award the company has now won and we are quickly emerging as one of the UK’s leading manned security providers. The awards, now in its sixteenth year, aim to recognise best practice in all areas of the fire and security industry. The finalists and eventual winners for each of the thirty two categories are chosen by an independent panel of industry experts who take a detailed look at each individual nomination.
According to the judges FGH won the award due to, “A strong customer service focus, combined with empathy, knowledge and genuine Involvement.” This was a sentiment echoed by Michael Lever, who is one of the Event Managers for Manchester Pride and one of FGH’s clients, “Peter [FGH Security’s Managing Director] and his team have provided the security and stewarding provision for Manchester Pride’s Big Weekend for the past two years. The event is one of the UK’s most complex urban events. During this time, their forward thinking approach and engagement with our visitors has yielded positive outcomes. We are delighted to see their hard work and commitment to the security industry recognised.”
