

BIIAB Award in Security Guarding
SUMMARY
Anyone wishing to be employed as a security guard has to be in possession of a licence issued to them by the Security Industry Authority (SIA). This nationally recognised qualification is the industry standard and enables a security guard to meet one of the requirements to apply for their licence to practise.

BIIAB Level 2 Award in Door Supervision
SUMMARY
• Under the Private Security Industry Act 2001, all door supervisors must hold a licence to practise issued by the Security Industry Authority (SIA)
• The BIIAB Level 2 Award in Door Supervision is a nationally recognised qualification and is the industry standard
• Successful completion of this course enables a door supervisor to meet one of the requirements to apply for their licence

MAYBO Safer PI Disengagement
SUMMARY
This training examines how staff can reduce the risks of assault through non physical measures and avoid assault through their positioning and approach. They then learn how to disengage from the most common types of assault they can face in their role. This can extend to coming to the aid of another person and non restrictive guiding skills.

SUMMARY
Where the job role may legitimately involve physically escorting or holding an individual, holds are taught that help to protect staff and avoid pain or discomfort for the individual. Such techniques may be required in a variety of frontline roles.

SUMMARY
In addition to the material learned during the holding unit this course covers areas where the job role may require holding and restraint of individuals who are horizontal.

Emergency First Aid at Work
SUMMARY
Delegates will receive training in a range of First Aid topics, including:
• The role of the First Aider including the importance of recording incidents and actions
• Aims and principles of First Aid
• Action at an emergency
• Management of an unconscious casualty
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
• Assessment and treatment of a casualty who is wounded, bleeding or shocked
• The use of first aid equipment
