We are extremely proud to announce that we have been placed 89th on the 2019 Sunday Times Best 100 Small Companies to Work for List and 23rd in The Best Companies to Work For in the North West 2019 list.
Since been founded in Lancaster 16 years ago FGH have gone on to win a range of industry awards and we are now the most decorated security company in the UK. The only security company to ever make the Times Top 100 List.
The prestigious Best Companies List, published annually, is all about putting Britain’s best employers in the spotlight. Organisations across the board are judged on a variety of factors, including workplace engagement, staff well-being, perks, and company culture.
“I am ecstatic. Today is probably one of the biggest days of my business life. There are over 5 million SME’s in the UK. So to even make the list and be recognised as a Sunday Times Top 100 Employer means the absolute world. Even more so as this is based on opinions from our team.
Managing Director, Peter Harrison commented;
“Business is about so much more than just money; if we can put a bit of good back into the world then brilliant. As always, I just want to thank all the people in our team who work so hard to make this happen.”
How has the Sunday Times Best 100 Small Companies to Work for List been compiled?
The Best Companies Survey comprises of statements for employees to score from ‘strongly agree’ to ‘strongly disagree’ on a seven-point scale. These then fall into seven categories, which are: Leadership, Well being, My Manager, My Team, Fair Deal, Giving Something Back, My Company and Personal Growth.
The list then analyses the replies to questionnaires asking employees how happy they are with all areas of their working life.
Founder and chief executive of Best Companies, Jonathan Austin says:
“It’s my great pleasure to confirm that you have achieved, our 3 Star accreditation status. This means your organisation has shown extraordinary levels of engagement. You are one of the Top 100 best small companies to work for in 2019, congratulations!”
Their ranking shows that FGH employees had plenty of positive things to say about their job, the culture and the company they work for.
Human Resources Manager, Lyndsay Holt said;
“As Human Resources Manager of FGH Security Ltd my role is people centric, with responsibility for ensuring the organisation cares for our stakeholders in line with our core values. Our employees are the lifeblood of the organisation and one of the many ways in which we differentiate as an employer is our emphasis on the team and their welfare. Through the HR function we have the ability to contribute to the performance of the organisation by driving the procurement, progression and retention of talent which is key to the ongoing success and growth of the company. Our success is measured by the achievements of our team and I am immensely proud to be part of an organisation voted as one of the top 100 companies – indeed the only security company – to work for in the UK by our peers”
As a growing company FGH are dedicated in building the company on strong foundations by having the Best Trained Team possible. Operations Manager for Lancashire & Cumbria, Kevin Blakemore says the secret to his success is looking for the friendliest people to join his team.
“This ranking epitomises the hard work done by the team on the ground as well as the Management Team. We are always striving to improve and uphold our main purpose, Keeping People Safe.”
