staff

Manchester Door Supervisors
FGH is aware that our greatest asset is our staff. It is our frontline staff that ultimately provide the service our clients want and, as such, we go to every length to ensure that our staff are among the most capable in their job role in the industry. We have a stringent recruitment process which recognises potential and talent in potential new staff rather than just looking for who has a badge.

Through our in-house training program we induct staff into the FGH way of thinking from day one. This continues, and is strengthened through our innovative Staff Mentoring Scheme during which new starters are mentored by senior staff members. All of this together helps to perpetuate FGH’s customer service culture, ensuring a continued level of service year-on-year. Staff retention and progression is achieved through our staff development program. We offer training through both our in-house facility and external training providers to encourage our staff to take control of their own development.

This sense of control is an extension of our intent to empower our staff to show initiative and take charge of their own professional development. Staff showing initiative or developing their skills base are recognised by praise in the newsletter, the employee of the month scheme and the annual staff awards.

Clients

Preston Door Supervisors

FGH caters for clients of all sizes, from those who need staff for only a few hours a week to large public sector contracts. We believe that our success comes from our client focused culture and the model we use for this is the same for clients of all sizes. All clients receive a dedicated client service manager who is their permanent point of contact with FGH Security. This manager is available at all times, not just during office hours, and is always ready to help with any requirements.

One real strength of FGH is our flexibility and this relationship serves to accentuate that characteristic. We recognise that the economic climate is less than favourable so we always look to provide value for money. This is not the same as being cheap at any cost. More often it means providing top quality security personnel at a competitive price.

Our clients can rest assured that when they deal with us they are dealing with a professional outfit. We are NSI Gold accredited for both Security Guarding and Door Supervision as well as being one of the highest scoring SIA Approved Contractors in the country. Our efforts in Door Supervision were recognised by the Best Practice in Door Supervision award at the Security Excellence Awards in 2009.

Community

FGH is committed to sustainable development and is keen to champion environmental initiatives throughout the company. We believe in sustainable delivery for all our services.

We are a keen supporter of local charities and regularly raise money for our chosen cause for that year. Most recently we organised the FGH sponsored ‘Beat the Bouncer’ fun run in association with Lancaster Running Club to raise money for a range of local charities. We are keen to work as part of the wider community to achieve the licensing objectives and, as such, we work closely with the Police and other key stakeholders in the late night industry.

carlisle Door Supervisors

We were finalists for the Policing Partnership of the Year Award at the IFSEC Awards 2010 and have also run a training program to help local Street Pastors better understand the role of Door Supervisors within the night-time economy. We see it as our role to spearhead change in the wider security industry. As such we were the first company in our area to achieve full Approved Contract status for Door Supervision, with Security Guarding following closely. Since then our Managing Director, Peter Harrison, has spoken at SIA Meetings and played a role in the development of the industry. We were recognised for our contribution to developing the industry by winning the ACS Champion of the Year Award at the Security Excellence Awards 2010. Peter Harrison has also spoken at Lancaster University in the wake of his successful appearance on the BBC Show Dragon’s Den giving advice to young people thinking of starting out in business.
