Manchester Half Marathon 2019

1 minute reading time | 18th October 2019

On Sunday 13th October 2019 we undertook the Security and Crowd Safety of the Manchester Half Marathon 2019.

The race route began at White City Way and came to a finish at Lancashire Cricket Club on Talbot road with more than 15,000 runners taking on the 13.1 mile route.

Manchester Half Marathon or the Manchester Half as it is known, has grown vastly since it was established in 2016 and launched by those behind the Greater Manchester Marathon. It is known for its flat steady and scenic route. It wasn’t the perfect weather for running this year but the rain it didn’t dampen the spirits of runners who were greeted by the sights and people of Manchester across the run.

FGH worked closely with Manchester County Council and deployed over 120 of our trademark friendly and helpful security professionals on the ground over the course of the day. Our team undertook a variety of duties including guarding premises and property, manning temporary road closures along the route and stewarding the event. This enabled us to help the local community, runners and athletes by managing the safety of the crowd in and outside of the event.

Our FGH events team has been recognised as one of the best in the industry. If you are interested in becoming part of our successful team you can apply here in under 5 mins by following this link.
