Belief 10 : Look after our people & they will look after our customers
FGH Security has achieved Service Provider status with the Living Wage Foundation. By becoming a Living Wage provider, we pledge to pay all employees at least the Living Wage, which is currently £8.45.
This status recognises the positive impact FGH Security has had on our staff and their families by improving their standard of living. We chose to do this to show our employees how much we value them.
We are a values-led company and this commitment reinforces our values by enabling our staff to focus on providing excellent service to our clients. We hope to be the benchmark for others and set an example for the rest of the industry to follow.
The Living Wage should not be confused with the National Living Wage which is based on a percentage of median income and is compulsory for all employers. The Living Wage is independently calculated based on what employees need to live comfortably and is voluntary for employers.
The scheme also differs from the National Living Wage in that in is available to all employees, not just the over 25s, which is great news for students working for FGH and seeking to maximize their earning potential whilst also enjoying a great working experience.
This commitment is our way of demonstrating the significance of employee welfare both internally and to the wider security industry. As well as being financially rewarding for our staff this is a great way to show our appreciation for all the hard work they do for us.
