The Houghton Festival is known for its unique mix of electronic music and alternative sounds. The festival promised visitors 24 hours of continuous music with extended DJ sets in a fantastic setting in the Norfolk Countryside surrounded by extreme art installations. The festival prides itself on growing year on year based creating really unique and positive experiences for each festival goer. This year the event ran from the 9th until 12th August and welcomed 10,000 customers.
This was our first year at Houghton Festival and we invested a lot of managerial time to not only ensure that our staff briefings and deployment patterns met requirements but also our teams complemented each other and added real value to the event organisers. As always, our team out did themselves and went beyond just providing a security remit by being the perfect first point of contact for customers at the event, this has been mirrored by both client and customer feedback.
Amy Stanley, Operations Manager who acted as Head of Security at the event, said, “The whole weekend went extremely well, the local Police Inspector told me that this weekend was the slickest security operation he has seen in 17 years. The festival went smoothly from our side because team worked to a consistently high level despite the rainy conditions. It was great to see them forming relationships with festival goers and putting customer service first which really compliment the event. It’s great to see people’s reactions when they see us living up our brand promise of having the friendliest team.”
