Fundraising and charity work

Donation of £350 to the Muscular Dystrophy Fund.  The money was raised by the office staff having a weekly non-uniform day with a £1 donation.

MD completed Cockerham Sprint Triathlon for CancerCare in fancy dress raising £675.

Additional £300 donated to a range of other charities from the Breast Cancer Campaign to The Christie.

MD compelted the Cross Bay Challenge Half Marathon raising £464.69 for CancerCare.

Additional £295.69 donated to a range of other charities from Marie Curie to the Stroke Association.

“Beat the Bouncer” charity 5km run held in partnership with Lancaster Running Club.

Sponsorship of employee Joe Gorton’s entries into various Strongman Championship Events.

Sponsorship of Bar Cairo Team in the Run for Life.

FGH Security provided a free security team to the Lancaster Round Table for their Annual Beer Festival.  Assisting to generate proceeds in excess of £15,000 for several causes.

FGH Movember saw twenty members of our staff sport moustaches for the month of November raising £875 for the Prostate Cancer charity.

MD Completed the 10km and 10mile Total Warrior events in Cumbria raising £295 for Help for Heroes.

Additional £161 donated to a range of charities from the Royal Marines Benevolent Fund to The Fire Fighters Charity.

Sponsorship of employee David Hassall’s entry into various Bodybuilding Championship events.

FGH Security again provided a free security team to the Lancaster Round Table for their Annual Beer Festival.  Assisted in generating record proceeds of nearly £20,000 for several causes.

Sponsorship of FGH employee Joe Dowsett’s rugby kit for his 2012 season playing for Askam.
