The inaugural Great North Swim took place at Low Wood Bay, Windermere in 2008 with just over 3,000 swimmers, the event has grown at an incredible rate over the years and now attracts over 10,000 swimmers over three days. Since taking over as licencing sergeant in January 2013 I have developed a close working relationship with Ben Knott (FGH Security Operations Manager) who is quick to respond to any matters that arise. The Security Personnel division provides full managed security solutions to a range of private and public sector clients ranging from multi-million pound multiple site solutions through to temporary guarding provision. Our Security Personnel are always well presented, helpful and trained above and beyond the industry standard. We always aim to be the best external supplier that our clients work with and we do this through detailed reporting, experienced and competent management and taking the time to understand a client’s needs and how we can benefit not just them but also the visitors or workers on a particular site.
The Crowd and Event Management division provide large scale and corporate security solutions for a range of festivals, sporting events and stadiums across the northwest. We have a large and experienced workforce with a range of specialist teams who have experience and detailed training in managing a range of situations and requirements from front of stage teams for concerts or festival stages through to large scale crowd movements and logistics. We have experience in providing full security solutions and frameworks from deploying 10 person teams for small live music events through to large festivals and outdoor events which require up to 200 staff to be utilised across a week long event. In addition to this we also provide capable and approachable corporate security solutions for work with VIPs and executive requirements.
The Venue Security division focusses on providing high quality Door Supervisors to a range of Bars, Pubs, Nightclubs and Events across a number of venues in Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside and Manchester. We understand that in most cases the Door Supervisors are often the first person a customer meets when they visit a venue and besides ensuring that customers are safe and licencing laws are being upheld they set often set the tone for a venue. We know from the detailed research and quality measures we have in place that we do that our Door Supervisors provide real added value and help the venues they work at become places or events that people want to come back to. So besides being competitively priced with the rest of the industry in our experience we provide a level of service that other companies find very hard to match.
The Training side of our business not only ensures that our own workforce is fully qualified and up-skilled but also provides a range of accredited courses and training solutions to businesses, workplaces and individuals. This can range from Emergency First Aid training through to bespoke packages based around a client’s needs. For example in the past we have provided three day courses which allowed clients’ staff to qualify in Emergency First Aid and Manual Handling. All of our trainers are fully qualified and FGH is accredited by a number of national training bodies to deliver our courses so you can rest assured that our training is delivered to the highest standard.
