Over £10,000 of fundraising, sponsorship and charity work
Another fantastic year for the charities we support. Our highlight was the FGH Security Christmas Ball we held at Lancaster Brewery.
A fantastic £4000 was raised on the evening for “The Twins Appeal” to send local sisters Katy and Emma to the USA for a life changing operation that has enabled them to walk again.
Other highlights included the company MD running from Carlisle to Newcastle in a 69 mile Ultra Marathon where he raised over £1,700 for poorly baby charity Bliss.
10 members of the team abseiled over 300ft each off the roof of our Manchester office in aid of Destination Florida – a charity that sends terminally ill children on dream trips to Disneyland.
Finally it was a fantastic year for Movember, with a record number of staff joining the cause and donning crazy Mo’s for a month – over £2,500 raised!

FGH Security again provided a free security team to Lancaster Round Table for their Annual Beer Festival. The event generated record proceeds of nearly £20,000 for several important causes.
We launched the EVE Project (Evading Violent Encounters) for women and enrolled over 100 females on this free-of-charge half day training course which focused on basic personal safety and physical intervention. On completion of the course all participants received a certificate and personal attack alarm.
Movember took place once more and raised some fantastic funds all in aid of Men’s Health!

Over £3,000 of fundraising, sponsorship and charity work.
FGH Security provided a free security team to Lancaster Round Table for their Annual Beer Festival, saving them over £1500 and playing an important part in assisting to generate proceeds in excess of £15,000 for several causes.
FGH Movember saw twenty members of our staff sport moustaches for the month of November raising £875 for Men’s Health.
MD Completed a back-to-back 10km and 10mile Total Warrior obstacle race in Cumbria raising £295 for Help for Heroes.
Funds were also donated to a range of charities from the Royal Marines Benevolent Fund to The Fire Fighters Charity.

Over £2,000 of fundraising, sponsorship and charity work.
MD compelted the Cross Bay Challenge Half Marathon raising nearly £500 for CancerCare.
Additional £300 donated to a range of other charities from Marie Curie to the Stroke Association.
“Beat the Bouncer” charity 5km run was held in partnership with Lancaster Running Club.
Sponsorship of Bar Cairo’s team kit in the Run for Life race.
FUNDRAISING, SPONSORSHIP AND CHARITY WORK in 2009
Over £1,300 raised for good causes.
Donation of £350 to the Muscular Dystrophy Fund. The money was raised by the office staff having a weekly non-uniform day with a £1 donation.
MD completed Cockerham Sprint Triathlon for CancerCare in fancy dress raising £675.
An additional £300 was donated to a range of other charities from the Breast Cancer Campaign to The Christie.
