Peter has worked for nearly ten years in the security industry in a variety of roles and sectors; in a two year period he progressed from working as a frontline security operative through to becoming a specialist in company logistics and staff deployment for a large national security company before he founded FGH Security. As Managing Director Pete’s primary focus has always been on client satisfaction and providing a market leading level of security service. This has had a resounding effect on the business’s culture and continued development over the years, attracting both clients and talent alike.
He is a regular contributor to the SIA Approved Contractor conferences and this position, plus his industry experience, has allowed him to work with a range of the security industry’s key members in a variety of capacities over the years. Currently, besides overseeing FGH, he provides a consultancy service to other security companies throughout the country on working practices on behalf of some of our larger national clients.
He prides himself on his close links with the Police, regulatory authorities and FGH Security’s other stakeholders and community partners. Peter is also a regular feature in the local press and has recently worked with the BBC to provide insight into the private security industry and its practices.
Outside work he is a medal winning triathlete and a keen all round sportsman. John has nearly forty years of experience in the security industry and has performed every role imaginable from front line alarm installation all the way up to director level. John started off in security protecting cash and valuables in transit for what was then Securicor. After a spell running the Alarm Receiving Centre for Shorrocks, John was head hunted by Guardhall Security Group in 1996. John’s outstanding managerial performance led to him being made a director in 2001, a role which he has been persuaded to continue for FGH Guardhall.
John is currently responsible for overseeing all of FGH Guardhall’s electronic operations – as we’ve said before he’s a man who knows his ARC from his elbow. This is a wide ranging role and encompasses overseeing the day to day running of the FGH Guardhall Head Office, the Alarm Receiving Centre and all of the electronic engineers’ activities. He is also a family man with two grown up daughters, three grandsons and one more on the way. Trust is the central issue with any security company according to John. He points out that he has worked with some of his current customers for over twenty years. When a mutual bond of trust is established then security provision is at its best.
Outside of FGH Guardhall John also works as a magistrate at Accrington’s busy magistrate’s court, and has been doing so for over ten years. He regards it as a valuable service to his community. In addition to this John is a keen player of snooker with a stack of amateur trophies. He is still regularly making breaks of over 50 and has, in his time, played against such legends as Dennis Taylor and Alex Higgins. John remembers watching Alex Higgins playing cash games against two separate opponents at any one time and then taking all the winnings straight to the bookies. He regards him as a great character of what is now a past age.

In his current position he manages a team of sector division managers, having overall responsibility for over 120 members of staff, and acts as the personal client manager for a number of our service users. As testament to his high standards of work in 2009 Adam was short listed (from over one hundred nominations) as one of the finalists for the Contracts Manager of the Year Award at the Security Excellence Awards.
Adam seeks to actively encourage staff development so the end service delivery he is responsible for lives up to both clients’ and his expectations. In this vein he has recently gained his Level 3 Diploma from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
In his formative years he has captained the Isle of Man Rugby Union team and played both Rugby and Basketball at a competitive level whilst at University.

Dan initially began his career working as a manager in corporate recruitment for four years for both the medical and the industrial sectors in London before being head hunted by FGH Security. Since 2007 he has helped oversee our diversification into manned guarding when we initially began developing our service offerings. He has helped immeasurably in maintaining our high levels of staff selection as the company has grown and implemented training and personal development programmes across the company. This helps with not only our retention of experienced staff but also allows us to actually offer staff trained to the highest possible level in line with client and their own personal development objectives. He also found time to gain a degree in Christian Ministry during this time too.
Currently Dan spends the majority of his time overseeing the Manned Guarding side of FGH Security acting as the client liaison and overseeing all of the activity on each of our sites. He also oversees the detailed vetting process for each member of our staff and our unique About Me Database which allows staff themselves to highlight the areas of work they are good at, their learning experiences and types of assignment they are interested in.
Like most of the senior management team Dan likes to stay as active as possible; jogging most nights and training at the gym.
